Why should I upgrade to Google Analytics 4 (GA4)?

Google Analytics 4 is the future of analytics and is a brand-new product.

It allows the collection of both web and app data in one continuous

property, providing a more comprehensive view of customer behavior

across multiple platforms.

Universal Analytics (UA) and GA360, will be replaced by GA4.

UA and GA360 accounts will stop collecting data on July 1, 2023 and

October 1, 2023 respectively. GA4 will thereafter replace all other

analytics platforms as Google's single platform.

If you are looking to take advantage of advanced data insights,

cross-device tracking, improved privacy controls, or a more unified view

of your data across multiple platforms, upgrading to GA4 is crucial.

Which is better GA4 or GA3?

Universal Analytics only records data from the past. By utilizing machine learning to forecast future behavior, Google gives businesses the ability to look into the future with GA4.

For instance, it can forecast income over the next 28 days or the likelihood that a consumer will churn or make a purchase in your app.

There are many, many more advantages to come; this is just one.

We hope by now you know the answer. YES!

GA4 is the “Future of Analytics”.

Should Businesses Use Both Universal Analytics & GA4?

The implementation of GA4 does not need you to remove your current GA configuration. So if you have already set up GA3, you can keep that.

Running GA4 together with your current UA implementation is the best course of action. You should continue to use GA3 until you have collected sufficient historical data in GA4 to support your analysis needs.

However, there is no need to build a new, separate Universal Analytics profile if you are setting up Google Analytics for the first time as those will be retired in July 2023. Instead, you can get started right away with GA4.

What if I don't upgrade to GA4?

If you want to invest in your future. You SHOULD upgrade to GA4 as Universal Analytics sunset is near.

The amazing capabilities of Google Analytics 4 enable you to perform tasks that were previously impossible.

Get your site ready far in advance to avoid the frantic rush, especially considering how crucial GA data is.
