How a TagGurus audit works
TagGurus offers three levels of audit. Most ecommerce teams start with the free scan, request the free full report, and only commission the paid in-depth audit when they need GA4 and ad-platform numbers reconciled against real orders.

Who's behind TagGurus
TagGurus was founded in London in 2021 (TAGGURUS LTD) by a digital analytics consultant who has worked in the field since 2012, across GA4, Universal Analytics and Google Tag Manager for retail, travel and food brands. Every project is handled by a senior consultant: no juniors and no handoffs. We work with ecommerce teams in the UK, US and EU.
Is there a free GA4 audit?
Yes. The TagGurus scan at audit.taggurus.co.uk is free and needs no sign-up or account access. It scores your GA4, Google Tag Manager, ad pixels and cookie consent set-up out of 100 in about 10 seconds. You can also ask for a free full report, reviewed by a specialist, within 24 hours.
What does a GA4 audit include?
A good GA4 audit checks event and key-event (conversion) accuracy, the ecommerce purchase and checkout funnel, cross-domain tracking, Consent Mode and data retention, custom dimensions, channel grouping and attribution, and whether GA4 revenue reconciles with your real orders. TagGurus audits cover all of these.
What is the difference between a GA4 audit and a GTM audit?
A GA4 audit checks the data that arrives in Google Analytics: events, key events, ecommerce revenue, attribution and settings. A GTM audit checks the container that sends it: which tags exist, what triggers them, whether they respect consent and whether anything loads outside Tag Manager. Most tracking problems need both, which is why the TagGurus scan looks at GTM and GA4 together.
Do you need access to my GA4 or Google Tag Manager account?
Not for the scan or the free full report. Both use only what a visitor's browser can see.
How long does a GA4 audit take?
The quick scan takes about 10 seconds. The free full report arrives within 24 hours. The paid in-depth audit is delivered as a written report within 48 hours, followed by a 30-minute walkthrough.
How much does a GA4 audit cost?
The scan and the full report are free. For fixes or an in-depth audit, we quote a fixed price before any work starts.
Which platforms do you work with?
Shopify, WordPress and WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, Webflow and custom builds.
Do you work with businesses outside the UK?
Yes. We're based in London and work remotely with clients in the UK, US and EU. The scan works on any public website.
Is Consent Mode v2 required?
Consent Mode v2 sends the signals Google Ads needs to keep using UK and EEA conversion and audience data. The scan shows whether yours are present. This is technical guidance, not legal advice.
